The Position:

NAC is currently looking for a Vice President, Transaction Legal. Reporting to the GVP, Head of Transaction Legal, you will work out of our Limerick office as part of the global Transaction Legal team.

NAC offers you an exciting and challenging job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development and you will be an integral part of NAC’s global Transaction Legal team. In your daily work, you will be part of deal teams working on different aircraft leasing, sale & purchase, as well as sale-lease back transactions. You work will primarily be performed within the RMEA region, but occasionally also in other regions. At NAC we find it important to meet with our customers face to face, so business travel will be part of the job.

Within the deal team, you will work closely with a commercial project manager, a VP Technical and other supporting department. See below the roles key areas of responsibilities.

Responsibility:

As a Vice President Legal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• the drafting and negotiation of the principal transaction documentation, such as lease agreements, sale agreements, amendments and ancillary documentation related thereto; 
• conducting (face to face) negotiations with customers as part of the deal team activities;
• engaging in communication with lender’s counsel in respect of customer facing security documents and approval of principal transaction documentation;
• reviewing legal documents/conditions precedent/security documents, as necessary;
• the training and guidance of junior lawyers in drafting and negotiating legal documentation.
• the coordination of (repossession) actions against defaulting customers; and
• be involved in creating and maintaining template legal documents.

Who We Are Looking For:

• You have had previous exposure working in an international environment and can work independently.
• You possess good negotiation skills.
• International travel is a part of the job.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Good analytical skills and a pro-active approach.
• You have an open-minded and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to interact with people at all levels, in and outside the organization

Qualifications and Experience required:

• A University Degree in Law.
• 5-9 years of relevant aircraft leasing experience.
• Experience in the Aviation industry with strong lease (financing) experience.
